Introducing the Nonprofit, Nongovernmental Higher Education Institute of Khazar, Mahmoodabad, Iran

Science and Technology are the main axes of development in the world today. Development requires appropriate political and economic conditions as well as a workforce that is both sufficiently large and qualified. Indeed, the qualitative development of human resources is considered of primary importance in developed countries to assist in finding, adapting, and producing new technology, which in turn helps to eradicate social problems such as poverty, deprivation, ignorance, unemployment and other obstacles to development.

University is an arena for science and technology, the environment in which different branches of science and technology are introduced and developed. With this in mind, the Founding Board of the Higher Education Institute of Khazar proposed an initial plan for the establishment of the Institute.

Observing the rules of the nation’s higher education program, the Institute mainly aims at discovering, developing, and managing the numerous natural and environmental resources of the region. In addition to the great wealth and potential of the Caspian Sea, the region boasts rich mineral deposits, productive agricultural zones, numerous tourist attractions, and an attractive climate. Through effective training and research, the Institute can prepare the ground for an appropriate and principled use of these resources in years to come. By its establishment, the Founding Board hopes that it can contribute to the overall growth and development of cultural, educational and research activities in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
